I've known Kaia's family for years, but it wasn't until recently that I discovered how amazing Ms. Kaia is!

We had the opportunity to chat the other day and she told me her dream was to sell 5,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

"Why?" I asked.... that's a heck of lot of cookies!

"I really want to beat my record from last year and if I sell 5,000, I get to go to NY and meet with the CEO of Girl Scouts at Girl Scout Headquarters!" she said.

"You do? Wow, that's very cool... why do you want to do that?"

"I will learn even more about how to help my community and make an impact on the world."

I stopped....

Stunned...

Did this cute, precocious, bouncy little 10 year old girl just tell me she wants to change the world?

Yes, yes she did.

I knew I wanted to help her. We absolutely need more kids like her in the world!

Then she said...

"I know you volunteer with So Cal Bulldog Rescue... is there anything I can do to help you and the doggies? I love bulldogs."

Oh my gosh... the kid had me wrapped around her finger!

So I said, "Tell you what Kaia, let's help each other... I'll tell my friends that you're selling cookies and maybe they'll come buy a box or two from you. And for every box you sell, I will give $1 to So Cal Bulldog Rescue. What do you think?"

... and as you might imagine, Kaia and her amazing mom loved the idea.
